Doesn’t work
-
I have installed the plugin and openAI api key, but when you press the regenerate button it says “error”

Thanks for letting us know about this, @tpitserv. Could you please confirm where and when this is happening? A screenshot would definitely be useful. For example, is this happening in the media library or when you use the Quick Actions menu in the License tab on the settings page?
Hi again @tpitserv. We identified an issue with the bulk regeneration from the quick actions menu, which was resulting in the button itself displaying the word, “Error.” I imagine this is what you were referring to. We just released an update that corrects this issue, so please install the latest version of the plugin and let me know if it fixes the issue for you.
Thanks!
Hi
Doesn’t work on either. Your documentation is also out of date for openai

Where are you/what screen is that in your screenshot? I don’t recognize it. If you are using some third-party tool/plugin to manage your media, it’s possible that our plugin isn’t integrating with it.
What happens if you go to the regular media library in your WordPress admin and try to generate alt text from there? As explained in our documentation here: https://doc.wpaiplugins.dev/plugins/ai-image-alt-text/user/alt-text/media-library. Does that work?
We just did the visuals for our OpenAI key tutorial video (the one found on the documentation page you referenced, which is here: https://doc.wpaiplugins.dev/plugins/ai-image-alt-text/user/openai-key/get-key) the week before last. And I just checked now and the process is still exactly the same as shown in our video. So I’m not sure how it can be outdated.
Hi Jay
This is the “edit” screen on a media item. I have tried the way you suggested which still doesnt work See video below.

When I signed up to openai it forced me into creating an organisation and project which wasn’t mentioned in your guide.
Thanks
James
Hi James,
Could you please take a screenshot of the Usage area in the License tab of our plugin’s settings page, and share it here? Could you maybe have hit the usage limit?
please see below

if it’s easier, I can give you admin access to the site? it is in a staging environment currently anyway.
James
Thanks for that, James. It looks like you are using the pro version of the plugin. Since this issue might be related to that, and discussion of the pro version is not allowed in these forums (https://wordpress.org/support/guidelines/#do-not-post-about-commercial-products), please write to us via email or our website (https://www.wpaiplugins.dev/contact/), so we can further troubleshoot the pro version with you and what might be going on.
Hi
I have emailed now.
Thanks
James
