    Hello, hope you’re doing well.
I’m working on my website, but it’s directly through the WordPress website. It’s not installed in my own server.

The plugin doesn’t work, I can’t upload any SVG. Any idea why?

    Hi,

Do you mean you’re using wordpress.com and not a self hosted WordPress installation from wordpress.org?

I only ever use self hosted and don’t have a paid account on wordpress.com to test with.

Let me know if I’ve misunderstood.

If that is the case, I’m not sure why. I’d imagine it should work, but I have no recent experience.

Are you able to test with all other plugins deactivated and while using a default unedited theme?

    Hey, thanks for your response.
    Exactly, I’m not self-hosting WordPress.

I’ve deactivated all the plugin and using default unedited theme and it still doesn’t work 🙁 Any idea why?

Hmmmm, strange. Maybe wordpress.com just won’t allow SVG uploads at all, regardless of plugin.

I would have to get a paid account to be sure for myself.

Maybe ask the wordpress.com support, they might be able to provide more insight as I work with the self hosted version.

I’ll see if I can find more info too.

I have a workaround ! I’ve contacted support at wordpress and they found that you can’t upload on the media tab, you can only upload through blocks during editing !

    Hi there,
    Sorry for the late reply!

And thank you for letting me know!

I’ll see if there’s a way to make this work in the media library on the .com version too. Very odd.
