    Hi @motoyen,

I’m sorry to hear you’re running into issues. It’s possible that you’re running into a configuration issue on your site’s server, which could prevent SMTP from working. The good news, though, is that we can typically track down the source of the issue/help get you back on track.

I haven’t turned up any posts from you in our support forum, but please know we’d be happy to help! You can click here to check out our forum here on .org, where we provide limited complimentary support to all of our free version users.

I hope that you’ll pass along some details so we can try to help get this sorted!

I followed your guide and got it work.

At the bottom where it says Authorization and Allow plugin to send emails using your Google account.

If I’m setting up a clients website is it ok if this is connected to my email address?

    Hi @motoyen,

After discussing this issue with you over on https://wordpress.org/support/topic/authorization-for-client-set-up/, it sounds like this is now resolved. Would you be willing to consider updating your review?

In case it helps anyone else who runs across this post, when you’re authorizing your Gmail account, all the emails from the site will be sent on your behalf and will reach your ‘Sent’ directory. So, while setting up client’s site, I’d recommend checking mailers such as Pepipost, Sendinblue which requires your domain verification instead of authorizing mailbox.

    I hope this helps!

Sure I’ll update my review. This plugin never worked on 3 out of the 5 websites that I run. I tried all sorts of things to get it work but it never did. I downloaded Post SMTP plugin and it worked right away on all 5 of my websites.
