• Hello,

I just updated to WP 5.6. Since then the snippet of the footnote which pops up in the text when touched with the mouse is not showing up anymore. I only can jump directly to the footnote.
What can I do that the “text-snippet” of the footnote pops up again?

    Browser is Firefox.

Thank you very much for your support! 🙂

…Now I downgraded to the last WP version (5.5.3) and the issue is therefore not visible anymore.

Another issue in WP 5.6 was that the toolbar was scrolling out of sight…

    I’m using firefox as browser.

    Thanks for any help 🙂

    Hi there,

I’ve tested the plugin in a clean version of WP 5.6 and am not seeing issues. 5.6 did make some jQuery updates when you were on WP 5.6 did you see any errors in your console?

In Firefox you can right click and select Inspect Element and then click Console and it’ll show you any errors. Its possible another plugin is causing a jQuery error that’s erroring out before the Easy Footnotes script runs.

Any other plugins you’re using? You could also look at using the Enable jQuery Migrate Helpler plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/enable-jquery-migrate-helper/
