Yes, when I hover over a thumbnail, I see the path to the correct image I changed it to. I even see the new image in the media library. When I right click the same image and choose Copy Image Location however I get a path to a cache folder within the uploads folder with what looks like a temporary name. Here is an example of the cache image it is pulling.

After attempts at clearing the cache, regenerating thumbnails the only way I was able to get the correct new image to show was to change the image size by 1px. This forced the new image to load.

Same here,
either replacing or changing name option don’t work.
Resizing works though it’s time consuming on my site, too many images to change, especially beacuse the site is in 4 languages and i have to do the same operation 4 times each time…
Any workaround or alternatives?
Thanks!
Same problem here. After replace the image, this still continues. The new one appends an “1” to file name but the current one doesn’t delete.
Original path:
localhost/site/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/home_language_h2_icon.png
New generated path:
localhost/site/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/home_language_h2_icon1.png
Any idea?
Thanks
I was really hoping this would work. I’m not encouraged by there not being a response in 4 months but just in case. I installed the plugin because my site was hacked and in trying to fix it I deleted all my image files. The back up is corrupt and I think I may have deleted the images before I got the back up anyway. So my option is to re upload each image (at least as far as I can tell).
It appears to work but then there is still no image on the attachment page, just an error message.

I’m sorry, but I can not duplicate this error. Could you provide more details?
