    I just tested your plugin to see if it would solve my users' problem with adding YouTube embed code into the Visual Editor.

    Unfortunately, the code:

    <iframe width="640" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/t2YIj5DOUto?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

    still replaces the brackets with &lgt;

    How to fix this?

    Well that code is not designed to be entered in the Visual Editor. You'll need to use shortcodes for the visual editor tab. Or switch to the HTML tab so that you can use the above snippet.

    I would suggest trying some of these plugins: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/search.php?q=youtube+shortcode&sort=

    They should allow your users to embed youtube videos from the visual editor.

    Oddly, I found this plugin on a site where the person was asking specifically how to add code that was being stripped out (not just line breaks)... and answers to the poster's question by you that this plugin would fit the bill. *sigh* (I actually need to input javascript for non-youtube video embeds.)

    Glad I backed up before installing. Not that this isn't a nifty plugin, I just try to keep plugins to a minimum if possible.
