• We wanted to use this plugin to disable comments temporarily while we fixed a few things. But it disable the comments on all posts, and then there was no option to re-enable them. Even disabling and deleting the plugin still made the defauly setting on all posts (and we have over 4K so can’t go through and do this by hand!!) to be comments disabled.

@kateM82, had you checked the “Use permanent mode” setting on the plugin settings page? Because that is the only way that the changes would persist after you disable the plugin.

Then I don’t know why that happened – the plugin makes no changes to the database whatsoever unless you select permanent mode.

In any case, this plugin will help you re-enable comments on all your 4K posts in one go (look at the Tools section). Caveat: it’s also written by me.

Perhaps you should consider upping your rating from 1 star? Your issue appears to be nothing to do with this plugin… seems unfair that’s all.
