Hi @jeriss,
Thanks for reaching out!
The TinyPNG WordPress plugin can optimize your Jpeg, PNG, and WebP images. However, it can’t generate WebP versions of your images. For now, we’ve added your feature request to our list of possible improvements.
With that said, we are currently investigating the possibility of automatically serving WebP images when the browser supports this. This will become one of the features of Tinify CDN.
Hope this answers your question.
Hello @tinypng
Regarding the auto – conversion to WebP images, do you know if we can use alternatives alongside TinyPNG plugin such as WebP Converter for Media ? Are there any incompatibility issues or something;
As I can figure out, the WebP Converter will convert images to WebP and server when is possible, while TinyPNG will compress that images
Do you have any feedback regarding these two plugins working together;
@jeriss Have you found an alternative workaround?
Thanx in advance
@ibraimsap I remained with Imagify so far because I liked its integration with WP Rocket. However, you may possibly be interested by EWWW, give it a try.
