    Hello,

I really love your plugin. Very lightweight and does EXACTLY what I need it to. Kudos to a job well done!

Question: if I want to insert code php snippets without changing the functions.php file or downloading this additional plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/code-snippets/

    Will your plugin support this?

Thank you so much and God bless you guys!

Hi @rebornhairppp – Thank you very much for your suggestion. We really appreciate the time you took to think about it and we find it to be very helpful. We are going to give it some serious consideration and see how we can effectively introduce it into our plugin. Thank you again.

Thank you very much. Looking forward to an update. This would be a fantastic addition.

I need this to embed Disqus on my site, which relies on get_permalink(). Unfortunately this plugin does not support PHP embedding, so even tho I prefer the UI of this plugin, I had to revert to “Head, Footer and Post Injections”, because that one supports this functionality.

At this moment, we do not support PHP code to be inserted for multiple reasons.

    1) It opens up the possibilities for malicious code to be inserted inadvertently by non tech-savvy users or potential injections. This could result in your entire site going down and we prefer our plugin not to be blamed for that.

    2) Most of the users of this plugin are not as knowledgeable about code, and therefore, we avoid PHP insertions. Typically, they’re inserting JS snippets from third party services which require just copy/paste.

However, we are exploring a PRO version of the plugin that may have this feature.

    Thank you.

So allowing potentially malicious code is fine by you if the user pays for it? I hope you see the error in your reasoning 🙂

In any case, good luck selling such a plugin when the offered functionality is already available in free alternatives.

I didn’t say that nor did I imply that it’ll be implemented in the manner you’re describing. Therefore, I don’t know what is up with the hostility but we don’t engage in it. Please do use the free alternatives.
