    I have a question with regards to a web site i am working on right now.

    The web site will call on internal templates to add additional information areas on the site. On the page you can see an area that says FULL MTB trip details. within there are 5 areas that can be called upon to give the user extra information about the trip. There is quite a lot of text in there and currently it appears as if the yoast plugin is not recognizing any of that text.

    q: The question i have is are those texts (on the templates) read by yoast to count towards keywords? as we really want that to be the case, i am just not sure if i need to do something on those template pages to enable that? I cant find any thing obvious, if any one has some insight it would be appreciated.

    Thanks

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    @plumtree,

    The Yoast SEO plugin only analyzes the default WordPress content areas like the title, URL, and the main WordPress content editor. If you are adding your content through other plugin or theme content boxes, etc Yoast SEO might not be able to detect it by default.

    We provide plugin and theme developers with an API that they can use to pass their content to our page analysis. So, if you are using a plugin or theme or page templates that doesn’t send their content to our page analysis, please reach out to the developer and ask them about adding the functionality to their code. This KB article will help them with the implementation – Can I add data to the page analysis?

    With that being said, while our plugin isn’t able to detect all your text blocks, this doesn’t mean that search engines won’t be able to parse them. Our content analysis is an additional bridge to validate the content of your website and doesn’t really affect how search engines crawl and index your site.

    Let us know if you’ve any further questions.
