I’m currently using Magento for my shopping cart, and because my site is in WP, I think WooCommerce would integrate both my shopping cart + website a lot better. However, I’d like to know the following first. Hope someone can help me answer them:
I know WooCommerce is free, but a lot of its extension cost money. I’d like to know if WooCommerce alone (or with FREE extensions), can give me the following features:
1.) Allow pre-ordering of products. Products will be listed in the shop as “Pre-order”, customers can pay first and be notified when item is available and ships.
2.) Add-on items option. Example: when I buy an Apple iPhone, there is a dropdown option to also buy AppleCare. AppleCare is also a SKU that exists in the catalog.
3.) Shipping. Ship via USPS and UPS, automatic tracking notification once item ships out.
4.) Different customer groups and each may get special rules such as special discounts on certain products. Example: Regular customers & wholesalers.
5.) Discount codes –> Discount based on 1.) percentage of total, 2.) dollar amount
6.) Free shipping on products. Example: Only Apple iPhone has free shipping without needing to enter discount code. All other items require shipping.
These are a lot of questions, I hope someone can help me answer them. I really like WooCommerce’s simplicity and integration with WP.
Thanks Everyone!!! 🙂
