Does what what wp 3.9 doesn't do anymore? (5 posts)

    Hello,

I suspect your plugin will gain popularity since this extremely smart wp move to no more offer image border and padding options in version 3.9...

Is your plugin working with this new version and does it offer what's missing here (namely image borders and padding)?

    Thanks!

    Hey John,

The plugin has been tested and works on 3.9 - I just need to update it here to say that.

There aren't any padding options at the moment. Here's a screenshot that shows all the style options available: http://s.w.org/plugins/wp-image-borders/screenshot-1.png?r=898128.

I'm always open to feedback and ideas, so let me know if there's a feature missing you think it should have.

Hi, looks nice at first look at the screen capture but something sounds strange to me: you seem to only mention "posts" in settings - what about custom posts and pages?

And, yes, the padding would be a very useful addition indeed!

So if you check off the box to add the image borders to all images in posts this will add the borders around all posts and probably custom posts, but that's up to the way the post type is displayed.

It hooks into the post_class() function which should be used on all post content containers in the theme.

For pages (or in case the theme doesn't use post_class()) you can use the custom CSS input box. Just find out a class or the id that the image container has and add it there. That will apply the borders to all images in that container.

Thanks for this but I'm not sure I well understand how to make it work for pages. Will give it a try but I don't really get the idea why you don't have the option to enable the plugin on pages? It would have been way easier for the user.

Another option that would be most welcome would be to have exclusions in Media Manager and being able to exclude specific images (like logos) from being affected.
