Does what it says, but lacks reporting or information for customers
-
This review is based on testing the free and pro version of the plugin for a specific use case: Provide a discount on the 4th purchase of a particular product.
The free version of the plugin does NOT provide this feature, but our trial was encouraging enough to purchase the pro version.
The Good
The User Interface for creating discounts is pretty good. There’s a separate place to set up list of products to which discounts can be applied, and this tells you which products would wind up being eligible. The discounts apply automatically, and the lower price appears on the product page and the cart when the discount is applied.
This plugin is compatible w/ the Gravity Forms WooCommerce integration.
The Not-so-Good
There’s no option to provide a customer message about their discount. For example, we would like to inform our frequent customers that they are getting a discount because they are buying their 10th sandwich. When reviewing the order, the discount is not called out. Instead, a lower price appears for the product, so you can’t tell that a discount has been applied. This is true on the “My Account” page for the customer, as well as on the “Edit Order” screen in WooCommerce. There’s a custom field that shows the Post ID of the applied discount, but most people don’t know how to translate that into the correct information.

This plugin has a lot of potential, and the pro version provides a lot of the useful rules that are needed, so I would recommend testing it out at least. It’s a different approach than the other WooCommerce discount extensions.
