• Before installing, permalinks were set to /%category%/%postname%/ and viewing a post works ok. After activating the plugin viewing a post now gives 404 error. After deactivation and deletion, viewing a post works ok again.

The plugin did allow me to assign a numeric slug to a subpage. After deleting the plugin, the subpage retained its numeric slug.

Also, with the plugin activated I did some other testing. Using the default permalink worked as well as using /%year%/%postname%/ and /%year%/%month%/%postname%/. However /%category%/%postname%/ and /%postname%/ did not work. I also tried hard coding the category, i.e. /events/%postname%/. That did not work either.

Apologies, this is the first time posting on these forums. This is concerning the allow_numeric_stubs plugin. The plugin page linked me here so I assumed it was going to a plugin specific forum.
