Yes, you can download all your media, but it would be much more useful if an option was to clone the uploads directory.

In my case I was cloning a WP site and being able to grab the media is good, but then having to upload it all manually and insert it all into posts again manually is a big job.

If it spat out the uploads directory intact, the job would be mostly done.
