Support » Plugin: Media Deduper » Does this work with Frontend Uploader?

  • I’ve got the latest Media Deduper installed on my WP 5.2 site with Frontend Uploader allowing users to upload images attached to a custom post type. However, I’m still seeing duplicates of newly and prior uploaded images, the former because folks are likely double-clicking the upload button, despite it being well-marked to only click once. And yes, I did index all media when I installed it. Any thoughts?

We haven’t tested Deduper with this particular plugin. I’ll see if we can do that…

    Hi there!

Just wanted to follow-up and let you know that Media Deduper unfortunately does not work with the Frontend Uploader plugin at this time. The way that Media Deduper works to identify duplicates is built on WordPress’ administrative media uploader, so it does not work with other methods of uploading such as Frontend Uploader.
