    Hi there,

CF7 have a list of special mail tags which you can use in emails which are listed here https://contactform7.com/special-mail-tags

However, when I try to use this plugin and try and map them with my post, they are not listed presumably because they are not actual form fields.

Is there a way to map the special mail tags to a post? I presume I would have to use a filter or would I have to find a way to get the user information onto the form in the first place before it could then be mapped?

    Thanks!

    correct.

sure. the only advantage of adding it to your user form (as fields) would be if you wanted to use those values within the form itself (eg show them to your user). Else, you can simply add them to your mapped post at the end of the mapping process using the action fired. See the Filters & Actions section of the map edit page. (see screenshot #8)
