Does this work with a image gallery manager like Heroic Gallery?

The Jetpack version only works with “WP Images”. Is this any different?
I need a way to manage my images into galleries or by tagging an image an then have it populate in different galleries that call specific tags—but I want to use this lightbox. Any ideas would greatly help.
