Support » Plugin: Content Syndication Toolkit » Does this work for custom post types?

  • Hi there,
I’m liking the looks of this plugin. I’ve been searching for something that will pull in featured images along with posts. However, the last thing I’d like to confirm is whether or not Content Syndication Toolkit will allow me to syndicate a custom post type.

I am trying to run two sites with some overlapping content, some of it being stored in custom post types.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hi

    Thanks for the question.

The free version doesn’t have this option but the the Pro version does as well as a lot more features including the ability to segment content into subscription groups which can be assigned to client accounts.

That said do you want to push content from multiple post types? Say, few posts from page content type and a few from a custom post type?

    Thanks for the reply.
Yes, it would be a combination of posts and a few post types.

So, just so I’m clear, the Pro version DOES allow syndication of custom post types?

    Ok,

At the moment the pro version allows you to syndicate from any post type you wish. I will just have to adjust it to allow you to use multiple post types rather than just one.

I can have this feature added to the pro version by the start of next week. Can you wait until then?

You can then use the pro features to create syndication groups for each of your websites and then have granular control over which posts get pushed to which sites.

I have a few pro users doing that exact thing with a network of sites.

Here is a link with more info on the pro version:

Great. I really appreciate your help.
I need to run this purchase by my client, so don’t make any big changes on my account just yet, but this sounds like a pretty good solution to my problem.

I’m going to mark this as resolved for now. Hopefully, you will see me again soon.
