Currently you have to create a virtual product or products that you can use as a gift card. You can specify the amounts that you would like to offer i.e. $10, $20, $50, and $100. Your customer will have to specify who they would like to send it to or you can email them once it is created.
Once they order goes through, you as the store owner will need to go into the admin area and create the gift card. It will create the card that you can then send to your customer. They will then be able to purchase items and pay for it using this gift card.
I am currently working on creating other options to automatically create the gift card after purchase and to email it to either the customer or the person that they want to give the gift card to.
Please let me know if this helps and if you have any suggestions or functionality that you would like to see.

The plugin is generating a code that works effectively to reduce the total in the cart by the amount of the gift certificate. So that functionality is working great. However, I cannot get the email with the code to send to the customer from the admin panel. Are there defaults default settings that need to be used in the to/from fields that I am unaware of?

Hi Teddy4475,
Unfortunately the email part of the plugin is not working. It is something that I am currently working. However since WordPress released 3.8 I had to verify that my other plugins would continue to work. I am hope to have the email portion up and running soon.
It will probably be on my next release.

It has been updated and should no longer display on all products. I have also updated a few other features.

I am running WooCommerce and Version 1.2 of your plugin. I am seeing the Giftcard Meta Box on every single product that I create. Can you suggest how to remove this either from all of my products or all but my gift card product?

Im not able to create a gift card number when the language of wordpress is dutch. I will get “Automatische concepten” instead of the gift card number. When i change it to english then all things work fine.
Can someone help me with this.
