 * Just curious, random question, does this plugin require the use of heartbeat 
   to work at all? Other than WP defaults for heartbeat?

 * We do not use heartbeat.
 * However, we do send AJAX requests to [http://your.site/jm-ajax/get_listings/](http://your.site/jm-ajax/get_listings/)
   for retrieving the data and displaying our shortcodes like [jobs]
