Does this plugin delete EXIF metadata?

    I’m looking for a WordPress plug-in that will delete all EXIF metadata from an image, with the exception of orientation.

    I want to delete EXIF metadata in order to prevent users from accidentally revealing their location. Some cameras automatically include GPS location EXIF metadata in the photo files, and I would like to disable this.

    I don’t want to remove the orientation EXIF metadata, however, in order to keep the photos the right way up.

    Hi @flimm, Imsanity doesn’t specifically do anything with EXIF data, so it’s not going to accomplish what you want.
    My other plugin, the EWWW Image Optimizer, will definitely do that though. By default it removes all EXIF meta, and will auto-rotate images so that the orientation data is no longer needed.

    You should mention “EXIF” in the description of the plug-in page for ewww-image-optimizer . Hopefully, that way, this plug-in will appear when searching for “EXIF” in the WordPress.org plug-in directory, as I did.
