Does this plugin also overwrite EXIF and IPTC data from defined meta fields?

  • Suppose I have created specific custom meta fields for my attachments, can I map such fields to specific EXIF or IPTC fields for each uploaded image (and subsequent scaled images created on every upload)?

What I mean is to eventually overwrite EXIF/IPTC data *from* WordPress custom meta fields, if present and NOT map existing EXIF/IPTC data *to* my custom fields.

Can Media Library Assistant plugin do it?

    thank you

Thank you for your interest in the plugin and for this interesting question.

As I understand your question, you want to take values from WordPress custom fields and embed them in your images as IPTC/EXIF field values – is that right?

I regret that the Media Library Assistant, at this time, is not able to help you with this task. There are no features in the plugin for altering the image files in any way. There are lots of other tools for this job, such as Adobe Photoshop.

It is an interesting idea, and I’ll give it some thought for a future release. Thanks again for an interesting idea.
