Does this NOT work when Categories are applied to Pages?

    I have a plugin that permits Categories to be applied to WordPress Pages. When I use your shortcode the links dont display. Is it because it does not work with WordPress Pages?
    Here is my shortcode
    [linkview view_type=”slider” show_cat_name=”false” link_order=”asc” num_links=”-1″ cat_filter=”reference”]
