Does the slideshow supposed to resize and fit images of different size?

    There is a setting you can try, yes.

    Under Slideshow > Configuration > Appearance & Styles, tick/check the auto height setting (3rd setting at the moment).

    It will automatically adjust the height of the slideshow to fit the images.
