Does the plugin still work after 1 year of updates and support?

Yep, the plugin will continue to work after the license key (which comes with our Pro version) expires. The license key is used for receiving updates and support and so after a year you would no longer have access to plugin updates or support, but the plugin will continue to work as usual. You have the option to renew your license key at a 50% discount if you’d like to continue to receive updates and support but, although it’s recommended, it isn’t mandatory.
