 * Hi,
 * I’m using Seriously Simple Podcasting on a WordPress.com-hosted site and noticed
   that the plugin generates podcast media URLs like
 * domain_name/podcast-player/{post_id}/{slug}.mp4
 * However, on WordPress.com, media files are served from a different CDN domain(
   e.g. `videos.files.wordpress.com`), and this causes the video player to break—
   the video doesn’t load or play.
 * Even when I manually add the correct media URL in the episode file field, the
   plugin still renders a broken `/podcast-player/` URL instead of using the actual
   CDN link directly.
 * **Could you please confirm if the plugin fully supports WordPress.com-hosted
   sites, especially for video playback?**
   If not, is there a recommended workaround,
   or is support planned for the future?
 * Thanks in advance!

 * Hi [@jagveerblueastral](https://wordpress.org/support/users/jagveerblueastral/)
 * Did you try using this article to fix the issue? – [https://support.castos.com/article/298-bypass-rules-for-nginx-hosted-websites](https://support.castos.com/article/298-bypass-rules-for-nginx-hosted-websites)

   Basically, you’ll need to disable the **lightweight 404** feature.
 * Also, do you use the Seriously Simple Stats plugin?
   Usually, URLs like `domain_name/
   podcast-player/{post_id}/{slug}.mp4` are used to track listening stats. So, an
   alternative solution would be to disable the Stats plugin — in that case, the
   real audio file URL will be used instead.
