Support » Plugin: WooCommerce Blocks » Does the blocks work differently with the current woocommerce hooks?

    Hiya,

I am playing around in my local environment with the WooCommerce checkout block as this offers some of the functionality I am looking to implement on a live website, however, I have some custom code which adds a donation box hooked into woocommerce_review_order_before_payment but with the checkout block active, this section isn’t shown.

Do the blocks change the way we hook things onto the page? Any pointers would be great

For reference this is the code I am using https://www.catarinabras.co.uk/round-up-donation-box-on-checkout/

    Hi @kyarauk ,

You will want to have a look at the extensibility section from the Cart&Checkout Blocks docs.

The extensibility interfaces for the cart and checkout blocks are still being developed. The cart and checkout blocks do not currently support plugins that integrate with the cart and checkout shortcodes. In particular, extensions that use hooks related to cart and checkout may not function as expected.

Then you can have a look at the project on GitHub to find out more and see how you can hook that custom code there.

    Cheers!

@danielinhou thanks for getting back to me.

I see, well I will hold off for now then and look at using the blocks when I have a bit more time to re-engineer the custom code.
