[Resolved] Does Technorati use the category title or slug as the tag?

    We all know that, under WordPress v1.5.x, Technorati will use your categories as tags. But, does Technorati use the category title as the tag, or does it use the category slug as the tag? Thanks in advance!

    Never mind, I got bored and decided to test it myself. The answer is:

    Technorati will use the category’s title (name), not the slug, as the tag.

    I have added this little bit of clarity to the related Codex article.

    If you want to add it, here’s what Technorati’s help says on the subject:

    If your blog software supports categories and RSS/Atom (like Movable Type, WordPress, TypePad, Blogware, Radio), just use the included category system and make sure you are publishing autodiscovered RSS/Atom and we will automatically include tags with your posts! Your categories will be read as tags. For example:

    * <category>[tagname]</category>
    * <dc:subject>[tagname]</dc:subject>

    The [tagname] can be anything, but it should be descriptive. Please only use tags that are relevant to the post. You do not need to include the brackets, just the descriptive keyword for your post.
