# Does subscribers = “subscribers” user role?

 * Hi, please can you just confirm whether this newsletter will also send to registered
   users who belong to the “subscriber” role? New and existing? Are any special 
   steps required to do this?

 * The newsletter will only be mailed the list of people who have subscribed for
   it and confirmed their subscription.

 * To extend what [@prathameshp](https://wordpress.org/support/users/prathameshp/)
   is saying, by default newsletter you send will be sent only to those people who
   are in your subscribers list (i.e. people under Email Subscribers -> Subscribers).
 * If you want to send the same newsletter email to your WordPress users also, then
   you would need to import them in Email Subscribers list. Refer this guide for
