Are you referring to data that you have entered for your image inside WP after it was uploaded?
If that’s the case, those are not affected by Smush optimization.
If you want to be sure I would suggest nothing you need gets lost I would suggest disabling “Automatically compress my images on upload” in Smush > Dashboard panel, upload a new image, and now Smush it manually from Media panel.
If you’re happy with the results you can re-enable above-mentioned option and perform Bulk Smush as well.

Thank you. Am doing it manually now!
Another question: is there a way to compare the Smushed image to the original? It looks like the original just disappears. (Though I know it could be reversed if I wanted. But I don’t see a way to reverse it one image at a time.)
Follow-up:
I see that people have written that you can NOT reverse Smushed images. Also, I can’t control the % it will smush.
I need to reverse once in a while, so I can’t use this plugin, sorry.
