Keywords are not part of the Google search algorithm, so, if you use them, it’s really for on site search only.

We’ve disabled the keyword module, so, if you choose to use it, then you’ll have to go to Modules > Meta Keywords and activate, then you will see the field in the page level SEO Metabox (or you can edit in the mass editor).

Also, when you say “When adding keywords to the individual post pages within the plugin, do these values override the default site wide keywords or are these in addition to?”

There are no default site wide keywords as they are added to posts. Also, search engines do not use them to determine relevancy, but, for internal search (on site via WordPress) they can help users find what they are looking for.

    Hope this helps,

    Jeffrey
