Does Shop Isle work with Elementor?

    I have been very pleased with the Shop Isle theme up until now, but I am beginning to find some restrictions in the theme in regards to customization of the front page. I have tried to edit the front page with Elementor, but I just get an error message saying “Sorry, the content area was not found on your page. You must call the_content function in the current template in order for Elementor to work”. Is there any way to get Shop Isle working with the Elementor Page Builder (free version)? I found a site claiming that it would work if I got the Pro version of Elementor, but I am not willing to throw 49 dollars at something just to see if it works.
