This helps you clean up the clutter when looking at your available widgets. Just show what you want to use or support.

I was deciding whether to move my own disable widgets utility out to a plugin when I searched and found this. It does a better job.

Here are some scenarios I went through:
    * It manages all widgets, not just core WordPress widgets.
    * Disable a widget and it remembers so you can come back to re-enable.
    * Deactivate the same widget at it’s source, a plugin, and it disappears from this list.
    * Reactivate at it’s source and it not only reappears in this list, but this plugin remembers that it was disabled.

All is good. Why would I want to maintain my own plugin now?
