All this does is convert posts into HTML blocks, same as happens if you manually tell WordPress to convert a classic HTML post to blocks. Ok, it saves a single mouse click… why install a plugin to save one mouse click?

@synthezoid not having to train authors/editors to click the “Convert to Blocks” button within the editor and getting to avoid that cognitive load and instead keep them focused on content creation is still a very helpful tactic. There’s also a WP-CLI command that comes with the plugin that allows for migration in bulk, so there’s definitely benefit to using the plugin.

Even if that doesn’t have specific value to you, a 2 star rating seems hardly warranted given our team has maintained the plugin for free for over 4 years and keeps it updated with all the latest block editor changes in major WordPress releases. You may not be thankful for that effort, but I am.
