Support » Plugin: PilotPress » Does not work with the most popular plugins

  • Answer me this. Why does a developer make a plugin that in incompatible with almost all the most popular plugins out there? I have been using this plugin not realizing how unfriendly it is with things like backup buddy. Take a look at the support answer when mentioning this.

Unfortunately, BackupBuddy is incompatible with PilotPress.

    Other plugins that may conflict:

    Any other “membership” plugin
    Any plugin that manages “redirection”
    Caching plugins
    All in One SEO
    Backup Buddy
Page Expiration Robot or Scarity Samuri
    User Role Editor
    Login Form Editors (using redirection)

Really? I would stay away from this plugin at all costs until they can figure out how to play nicely. I understand not wanting to play nice with other membership plugins, but having code that messes up All in One SEO (and Yoast i found out) along with “Any plugin that manages redirections”? Caching plugins are conflicting too? WTH?!?!?!

  • PilotPress is a membership program that only works with paid ONTRAPORT Plus and above accounts. It is provided free to our clients, and is never sold as an independent option. It is the only native membership plugin that integrates well with ONTRAPORT without additional fees. If you are an ONTRAPORT client you can use other paid membership plugins listed in our Integrations Overview page for similar results, but they are paid plugins.

One option is to install a clean instance of WordPress in a folder like /members/ and install PilotPress in that instance. Then you can populate that installation with your protected content while leaving you regular site untouched with as many plugins as you like to use.
