  • After upgrading to latest (3.0.12) BackWPup, the backup options are not available.

    There are three new roles created by BackWPup. When I grant the “BackWPup Admin” rol to the admin user I can see the backup options.
    However, as soon as I logout and login, the role assignment is LOST. The admin no longer has the “BackWPUp Admin” role. Tried it several different ways with several different admin users.

    Then realized this problem happens when eMember plugin is enabled.

    When I disable the eMember plugin, the “BackWPup Admin” role “sticks”. As soon as I enable eMember plugin and logout/login, the role assignment is lost.

    (And the “Preserve WordPress role” setting in eMember has no positive effect)

    WordPress: 3.5.1
    BackWPup: 3.0.12
    WP eMember: 8.6.4
    Simple:Press: 5.2.6

  • Exactly the same problem here. Thank you for finding what the problem was for me!!

    Please add some form of Toggle to allow us to turn off the role ability. Or possibly fix the problem outright!

    Here’s is what I figured out. If the admin user is a member in eMember then that admin user will not retain the “BackWPup Admin” role.

    Either remove a the admin user from eMember or create a new admin user in WP but Do Not add him to eMember.
