Support » Plugin: Google Analytics for WordPress by MonsterInsights » Does not work at all! Zero stars!

Doesn’t work, doesn’t authenticate, manual authentication also dead. Bloated force-ware with many upsells right out of the box. Deleting!

Also the “details” link next to this on the plugin page of the dashboard goes to the page of the analytics plugin by ShareThis. So they may be getting the bad reviews from this one by mistake.

Very suspicious to give these guys access to the backend of our site!

All in all, a big mess and waste of time.

    Hi there,
I wish you had reached out to us via our support either on WordPress.org or on our site at monsterinsights.com/contact/. We have over 2 million active websites currently using our plugin and issues with authentication are both incredibly rare and generally easy for our support staff to determine the cause and provide a solution for.

We don’t have any links to ShareThis in our plugin. The details link, which is automatically created by WordPress core, should be automatically pulling the API request for our page here on WordPress.org. If it’s not, you likely have another plugin installed (maybe one owned by ShareThis?) that’s hijacking where that link goes to.

The vast majority of our users are free users, since we provide the most comprehensive free plugin on the market for Google Analytics (thus why we’re also the most installed GA plugin not just for WordPress, but for any platform). Some of our more advanced features, like eCommerce tracking, are paid features, similar to how every other large scale plugin in WordPress sells them.

    -Chris
