Does the plugin automatically adds links if set up properly, or is it required to always have the PRO version for it to work? I treid it but links do not appeear in my posts. I duplicated a post to check if it only works with new content, but to no avail? Or am I doing something wrong?

    my site: websitebutler.biz
pls check post “een website maken met Weebly: inleiding” and it’s copy
I added my Weebly affiliate link to match the term “Weebly” in posts and pages, link frequency= average, distribution=random.

The site is hosted by WP Engine and they have a strict plugin policy, but this one is not on the list of disallowed plugins.

Thanks to advise & rgds – Chris

    Hello.

The plugin has a lot of features that does not require an API key. The API key is required to automatically generate links based on your content, without your need to input every keyword and link manually.

Without the API key, you can specify keyword – link pairs. When the keyword is found, the link is added.

I looked at your website but the HTML there seems odd. It looks like the text is added to the page trough text widgets. Our plugin only replaces the content inside the article.

Text is added using PageBuilder by SiteOrigin. I tested this by adding a page not using Pagebuilder and then the links work. It looks like both tools are not compattible – that’s a shame. I’ll have to find a fix then… thanks for your feedback.

    Hi Chris,

Thank you for reporting this compatibility issue with SiteOrigin Page Builder. I’m going to submit a reference to this issue in our issue tracker to see if we can resolve the issue you’re having.

Just wondering, Lucian Apostol. Does your plugin work off a hook (specifically the_content), or via the likes of JavaScript?

Lucian it works when I publish posts without Page Builder, but now the issue I have is that the distribution of links, which is set at “random”, only inserts links in the first 2 paragraphs. I’m aware that’s exactly what random means, but could this be a “top” distribution rather than random?

    Pls see

Hello Alex. My plugin works by adding a filter to the_content hook. If there is a hook I can add a filter I can make it work for that hook too. The plugin also check if it is main query ( is_main_query() ). If it is not, the plugin won’t add links. If I would allow this, some templates or plugins overuse the wordpress loop and the plugin will try to add links several times. If someone have hundreds of links added and thousand of posts then it might slow down the website for doing nothing.

Hello Chris. Right now, the random function is still experimental and it is working if the number of links to be added is 2 or less. I am working to provide randomness for all situations.
