• We realized this plugin was not sending entries when we decided to test (we did test when we first set up and it was sending)… So who knows how many entries were lost. It gives me the option to upgrade to be able to see entries submitted in the FUTURE, but not ones already submitted. So I’ve maybe had MANY customers wondering why we were not replying and now there is NO WAY for me to recover/view the old entries EVEN IF I PAY TO UPGRADE. Don’t waste your time with this plugin. Even if you have it configured correctly AND have the smtp plugin set up as they describe, the emails will still not arrive and you will lose business and upset your customers. WOW. STILL IN SHOCK.

    Hi alibear0,

I’m sorry to hear that you ran into an email delivery issue. Unfortunately this occurs as a result of misconfigured server settings and/or filtering on the part of email providers, and as a result is becoming a common issue in WordPress and the internet as a whole. This is why we’ve made a significant effort to combat the issue, namely acquiring the WP Mail SMTP plugin and overhauling it to be more efficient, secure, and user-friendly, while keeping it a free plugin to help all WordPress users.

Our detailed tutorials on each mailer option within WP Mail SMTP cover all setup steps, and we’ve listed answers to the most common questions/issues (most server-related) as well. If all steps are followed in the tutorial (the test email is successful and the From Email matches the email used to set up SMTP), form emails should deliver successfully.

It would understandably be ideal if we could unlock entries from Lite when upgrading, as well, however this behavior is not allowed by wordpress.org policies.

If you have any suggestions for how we might better clarify either of these topics within our plugin or docs, please let us know.
