Support » Plugin: Redirection » Does not support wildcard redirect to 404 page

  • I really found the 404 to 301 quite easy to use and redirect all my 404s to my custom error page for further instructions. But had to delete is because developer added cloaking code to the plugin. I no longer trust that developer. It was suggested I try ‘Redirection’ plugin.

Redirection: Reasons for only two star.
Documentation was difficult to understand, especially for new users. As the plugin has been updated, documentation has not kept up with the changes. The plugin doesn’t send out email alerts when a 404 has occurred. The plugin doesn’t use wildcard redirect for all 404s.

I think this plugin will be useful in the future when I find a need to fix errors in the future. For new website, I don’t see a need for this plugin.
