Support » Theme: Spacious » Does NOT support Featured Images

  • The tags on this theme CLAIM that it supports featured images, but it doesn’t. I just spent a ton of time configuring other parts of the site and the finally got to some pages that needed featured images and couldn’t get them to show up at all. After much research, I discovered that the theme description is dishonest.

    DO NOT USE.

    Hi there,

The theme do support featured image. Though it is not shown everywhere.
Here are the places where featured image is shown.
    1. Featured Image are shown in blog or category view.
Example: http://demo.themegrill.com/spacious/blog/ (you will see all post come with featured image)
    2. Also, for business template it makes heavy use of Featured Image of pages for Service widget pages, featured widget pages (recent work) and featured singe page widget.
    Example: http://demo.themegrill.com/spacious/

For, single post and single page view the featured image is not shown. We have designed the theme this way. In this single post and single page view, users can upload image right at the top of content using the ‘Add Media’ button.

As we have supported featured image in maximum sections of theme, we have add the tag ‘featured-image’.

    Hope this clears your confusion.
If you are satisfied with our explanation, perhaps you might consider updating the rating.

    Thanks.

Not showing the featured image of a blog post on the actual page for the blog post, means that it doesn’t support featured images. That’s an expected part of a theme. I stand by my review.
