Did you manually installed the plugin ? If you did, make sure the permission of the plugin directory in /wp-content/plugins is set to Read & Write.
Whatever that comes up on the Popular Pages section of StatCounter, it will also be in the Popular Posts widget except the home page. So, even if it’s pages, it will come up in the widget as well as posts.

I used WordPress “Plugins” to install it automatically. I then activated it at the same place by clicking “Activate”. This is how I always install plugins. I did not copy files manually. It still does not work. Any suggestions?

Is there a pop_data.html file in the plugin directory of /wp-content/plugins directory ? If there is, open it and check if your StatCounter project ID is present anywhere in the file using Find (CTRL + F) on your text editor.

I am not to keen on editing in files (where changes might be lost if WordPress or the theme is updated). Statcounter seems to work fine but not your plugin. I found another plugin that does what I want so I will use that instead. I wish you good luck with your further development of this plugin. I might try a later version in the future.

Marking as solved though the error you’re facing can’t be reproduced on my side.

I’m terribly sorry. The problem occured due to a fault of mine. Sorry. The plugin has been updated to version 0.1.1 and I think the new version will work without any problem.

I tried the new version 0.1.1. It still does not work. It only delivers “No Popular Posts Yet”.
