  • It should be showing up by now. Let us know if there is any issue left or may be give the plugin a good review and rating if you are happy with us!

    Sorry, the What’s next / Recommended is still not showing for us – but probably for the reasons you and we both mentioned above (ie no traffic because it’s a test site…)

    We’ll be more than happy to give a good review and rating once we are live and getting decent traffic and everything is working properly though.

    Either way – we’re certainly happy with you for just the support in the meantime…

    Great work, keep it up!

    Sorry for the delay

    //@giggles666 – sorry you had problems using the WYSIWYG editor. When you saved using the WYSIWYG editor, did you get the confirmation “Settings saved.” at the top of the screen? And out of curiosity, what browser and what version of WP are you on? Thanks.//

    I tried in Firefox, Chrome, Opera, and also IE. I got no save confirmed message and using latest WP version 3.6.1 I believe.

    I downloaded the update but haven’t tried updating it using WYSIWYG editor as the site is live and I have the api sharing and folowing working. No recommended or what’s next yet and that could be due to the fact I am using vids for posts. Would be nice if it worked, but client doesn’t know so he isn’t missing it, so nto a big deal BUT I have plans for other WP sites.

    I haven’t rated, I understand bugs and apis and 3rd parties, I can be patient as I know it takes some testing and time. Best of luck and thank you for your time sirs.

    @turkeysforlife – I just checked this link:

    http://www.turkeysforlife.com/2012/07/fethiye-beaches-aksazlar-bay.html#at_pco=cfd-1.0

    And it looks like the What’s Next/Recommended layers are showing up now. Can you confirm that they are working? Thanks.

    @sol

    Yes, of course that’s working, but, as mentioned above – that’s on our main site (a Blogger site which we are transitioning to WordPress from at the moment). So it’s quite obviously not the WordPress plugin we are using there – it’s the normal Smart Layer code that we copied and pasted to Blogger rather than any plugin for WP!

    We said above that the problem with the plugin was on our test site here: http://205.186.130.199/

    Whether the code is working on our current Blogger site is quite irrelevant to this thread surely…

    @turkeysforlife – sorry, my mistake – you are correct and unfortunately, you won’t see the layers on your test site because of the mis-match of the domain in the browser (205.186.130.199) and the domain of the content (www.turkeysforlife.com) – this is done on purpose to prevent content from other domains accidentally appearing on your site. Thanks for bearing with us while we work out the kinks.

    @sol – No problem – and good to know that we shouldn’t be seeing anything at the moment anyway because of the mis-match reason.

    It’s looking good going forward!

    Thanks guys πŸ™‚

    OK I got the WYSIWYG editor to save with the update. Still nothing works outside of sharing buttons and follow buttons. I will wait 24 hours and see if they start working. But I wanted to confirm the update fixed my not being able to save problem. Thanks

    @giggles666 – thanks for letting us know the WYSIWYG is working for you. I just checked your site and I don’t see the Recommended/What’s Next layers in the code. Can you make sure you have them enabled? And to be extra sure, if they are on currently, can you turn them off, then save, then turn them back on and save again? Thanks.

    They work great, I would enable them but my type of postings do not carry well, no thumbnails and big url messes. Client had me shut it off once it started working, but it works for me.

    Sorry, the What’s next / Recommended is still not showing for us – but probably for the reasons you and we both mentioned above (ie no traffic because it’s a test site…)

    @remas2010 – if you provide me a link to your site, I can take a look and see if there’s anything mis-configured.

    Not showing at all on another client site. I just have share buttons activated in smart layers, not showing though.

    @giggles666 – are you using the WYSIWYG or the Custom API Configuration? I have a feeling this is due to a known issue which we’re fixing, but in the meantime, you can try implementing the following fix:

    http://wordpress.org/support/topic/not-showing-at-all-3?replies=9#post-4785094

    If you do try it, let us know if it works. Thanks.

    That did the trick.

    Thank you Sol, as always you guys are quick and helpful. Have a great week.
