    Hello

After the username and password are entered and login button is clicked, without asking for the TOTP, it direclty says ‘Error with the OTP entered.

I’m on the latest version of the plugin and WP.

    Please fix this issue.

    Thanks

    Hi,

What is the exact wording you are seeing? The words “Error with” nowhere appear in the code of this plugin – are you using a different plugin?

Normally if no OTP code is requested, some other component has caused a JavaScript exception on the login page and prevented all other components from running. Look in the developer console of your web browser for JavaScript errors.

    Hi

This is the exact error message.

Error: The one-time password (TFA code) you entered was incorrect.

There aren’t any JS errors shown in the developer console.

    Thanks

Can you give me the URL of the login page?

Would wish to share the URL details confidentially. Please can you let me know how to go about it?

Is it a standard WP login form? Can you post a screenshot?

Yes it is a standard WP login form.

Couple of plugins interact with the form namely

    Super Socializer – https://wordpress.org/plugins/super-socializer/

Digits OTP login plugin – https://codecanyon.net/item/digits-wordpress-mobile-number-signup-and-login/19801105

You have two separate OTP plugins on the same form??

What happens if you temporarily de-activate all other plugins and then reload the form for testing purposes?

It’s not another TFA plugin. It’s a plugin that allows users to login using their mobile numbers and OTP sent through SMS to their mobile numbers. It has no reasons to be present on the admin login page. I have written to the plugin author who is working on it to remove it from the admin page. The plugin is called Digits available in codecanyon.

Yes it was the culprit. Disabling it allows me to use the TFA plugin as usual. Thanks for the heads up. I should have suspected it earlier though.
