• whatever you did with your last update, it seems to be wrong or buggy … the plugin does not install, claiming a folder already exists (no previous installation of this plugin was attempted, so ….)

  • Hi,

Hmm, this is strange.. I would try to check through FTP if “woocommerce-jetpack” folder exists on your server (in plugins folder), if it’s there – you just need to delete it. Really not sure why this could happen… We didn’t receive any similar reports from other users, but I will keep an eye on it. And if you wish you can also contact me on tom@booster.io for more personal support.

    Best regards,
    Tom

I have had that happen more than a few times. Even when I check via FTP there won’t seem to be a folder/directory there. HOWEVER, it helps if you can refresh your view when you are looking at the Plugins folder via FTP. Sometimes that will then reveal the folder that you didn’t think was there…

    Just my 2-cents

    Hi Ron,

Thanks for feedback. You mean “more than a few times” with Booster plugin? Or generally? If this is regarding Booster – did it happen with newest version only? Or with previous versions also?

    Best regards,
    Tom

Well, actually, I meant in general. I find it not uncommon to “try” to install a plugin, have it fail (for whatever reason) and, when you try to redo the install, it fails because the directory is already there, though often missing many sub-directories and necessary files. I recently had my entire WooCommerce plugin do this. Had to go in, find the folder (it was not immediately viewable, so I refreshed…) delete it via FTP, then reinstall manually.

Thanks again for feedback. Yes, that happens sometimes to me also, however I need to say – quite rarely. I imagine that this is related to plugin’s zip becoming “broke” during download.

The only thing that I think we are able to do here – Booster is quite large (around 4 MB zip), so maybe if it would be smaller, this could happen less often.. Not sure though… Anyway will try to reduce the size…

    Thanks again.

    Best regards,
    Tom
