I agree that would have been ideal that hiding a parent item would automatically hide all its children. When I initially wrote it that wasn’t something I could figure out. If you want to take a crack at it, feel free to send me a pull request.

A pull request is a “git” phrase for where you sort out the code and send it to me so that I can merge it into my code.
I will take this thread as a feature request, but I have to warn you that adding new features to this plugin is not at the top of my to-do list and so it isn’t likely to be added any time soon (if it is even possible).
