# Does not apply to “Query Loop” functionality

 * This is a great plugin and I love it, However, it would be great if it worked
   on the Query Loop Block in posts so that they can be in the same order too.

 * Hi, it already works on the front end. If “Auto Apply Sort” is checked in Settings
   > Post Types Order, the Query Loop block shows your custom order to visitors.
 * Only the preview inside the editor still shows the posts by date. The editor 
   loads that preview with a date order request, and the plugin leaves requests 
   with their own order alone. So the editor preview and the live page can look 
   different.
 * With Auto Apply Sort on, your custom order always comes first, and the “Order
   by” setting of the Query Loop block only decides the order of posts that have
   the same position.
 * Can you check the published page while logged out, with any page cache cleared?
   It should already be in your custom order there.

   the detailed response. This matches the behavior I observed during my own tests
   as well.
 * [@paullb](https://wordpress.org/support/users/paullb/), if you’re still experiencing
   issues, please make sure you’re using the latest plugin version. If the problem
   persists, it may be caused by a conflict with another plugin or custom code. 
   To investigate, try temporarily deactivating the other plugins and switching 
   to a default WordPress theme to see whether the issue is resolved.

 * As you can see, the post order and the default category page order are the same.
   However the query loop page is different (and ordered by date)
 * I checked “Auto Apply Sort” and it is set. I also added a photo of the list of
   plugins but I can’t really see any that would be interactiving negatively.
 * And then after I prepared all that, I tested each of the order settings in “query
   loop” and the “A-Z” setting put things in the right order. So I suppose there
   isn’t a bug here but I think this wasn’t super intuitive (as the default was 
   newest first and I didn’t think to change that as the default order on the post
   list is also newest first), is there anyway to make this easier for users? Like
   add an option to the query order list for (“Post Types Order” for lack of a better
   term)
 * (On a side note, in preparing this I discovered something else that I think is
   a bug, if you reorder while searching, the items moved seem to go immediately
   to the top bypassing anything that wasn’t in the search results which seems sub
   optimal but I suspect that’s in the “won’t fix” category. I also found a visual
   issue, but I’ll create a separate post for that)
