the connection to wordpress.com does not work.

is it because of using xampp?
are there any ways to run the jetpack-plugin with xampp?

Jetpack indeed requires your site to be publicly accessible to connect to WordPress.com.

We’re currently working on offering options to work with Jetpack in your local environment, but I don’t have any ETA yet.
