Support » Plugin: WP-LESS » Does its job well, could provide better defaults

  • It’s a bit of a hassle to firgure out how to enqueue a custom style. It would be great (and, I suppose, sufficient in most situations) to make the plugin automatically enqueue the file ‘style.less’ from the theme’s root directory.

    Hi,

unfortunately there’s nothing special in the enqueue system because it is already what you should do even if not using LESS files.

I like the idea of automatic enqueuing; I’ll think about it.
But as WordPress works on explicit style declaration, I’ll not hurry about this feature yet it’s totally feasible.

I wouldn’t do anything the like: one of the things I use most is the ability to include plain css files to diminish server requests, and to do that I have already to unenqueue those files.

thanks for a wonderful plugin, that I use in every single project.

PS I just wish you would add another variable to get the url of WP itself, as it would be handy when transferring sites and to write more generic code.
